About the event
The sounds of Scotland will come alive in the heart of Hamilton as The Scottish Rite, in partnership with the Hess Village and The Pipers’ & Pipe Band Society of Ontario (PPBSO), hosts the Hamilton Highland Gathering — a full day of piping and drumming, cultural celebration, and community engagement.
This family-friendly event will take place on the picturesque
grounds of The Scottish Rite. It will showcase some of the region’s finest solo pipers and drummers in morning competitions, followed by thrilling pipe band performances in the afternoon.
A feature of the event will be a “Come and Try” area
where those interested can get up close and have a go at holding a bagpipe or drum. The venerable Hamilton Police Service Pipe Band will also be in attendance providing music and information on their free teaching program.
